Volunteer

Calling all Volunteers……………….

The first ever Ironman Wales takes place on 16th September 2012, this is not just for the athletes, it is a great opportunity for everyone to get involved!

The local community, the families, friends and supporters and other athletes who are ‘sitting this race out’. Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of an event like Ironman Wales. Everyone who marshals has a story to tell, where they have somehow made a difference on the day. It may be helping at registration, marshaling, manning aid stations, pre and post race set up – and many more things!

Find out how rewarding it can be to spurr the athletes on with cheering, clapping and positive encouragement, the athletes will remember that kindly word, that genuine smile, for many years to come.

So, we would love you to be part of the ‘crew’ this year. Our volunteer marshals will receive a simple packed lunch, t shirt and the satisfaction of being part of one of Pembrokeshire’s finest sporting history.

Groups of 10 individual adult marshals can help raise £200 for their chosen good cause too by registering their group. Please email sophie@activitywales.com for more details.
